Tiger Woods Marks His Return to Golf; How Many Viewers Will Tune In?
Anybody care to venture a guess on how big the 2010 Masters ratings will be with prodigal son Tiger Woods back in the swing of things?
2009 saw a 10.0/21 rating/share at it’s peak during the playoff and likely this year’s final number will blow that out of the water.
Saturday will see some big numbers, but if Tiger is in the mix on the back 9 we’ll be seeing some ratings approaching 20.
Apparently the ads are already locked in via a pre-existing deal so we won’t be talk about Superbowl level spots, so we’ll have to measure based on eyeballs.
Once we get to money, the next big question is which sponsor is going to be the first one to throw their hat back into the Tiger Woods ring? My guess is Verizon. Can you hear it now….
